First Baptist has a large group of senior adults who participate in all ministries of the church.
The Senior Adult Committee sponsors monthly outings and events that feature interesting programs and warm fellowship.
Day trips and short overnight trips are planned throughout the year and at least once a year the Committee plans an extended trip. Past destinations have included the Canadian Rockies, New England Fall Foliage, Yellowstone/Badlands, Niagara Falls, Canyonlands, Alaska, Nova Scotia, and, this past summer a 16-day European river cruise. Trips closer to home have included Savannah/Charleston, Branson, Nashville, and Gulf Shores.

JANUARY 15
We'll enjoy lunch and a movie! Start with lunch in the Dining Room at 11:30 a.m. and then we will go upstairs to the newly renovated Youth Space and watch a great old movie (complete with cartoons and popcorn) on their new big screens. Cost is only $5 for lunch, movie and snacks. Almost like prices from the good old days! Call or email Karen Garrett kgarrett@fbcrome.org to make your reservation by January 13. Guests are welcomed!
FEBRUARY 12
Our annual Valentine's Day Luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the Dining Room. Lots of fun is planned for this day! Make reservations with Karen in teh church office or email her at kgarrett@fbcrome.org. Guests are welcomed!

Once again, we are going to TRY to take a trip down the beautiful Coosa River on the new river boat. We will meet for Dutch treat lunch at Fuddrucker's at 11:30 a.m. and then head to Ridge Ferry Park to board at 1 p.m. for our two-hour tour.
